It is going to be a great double jazz concert with the performances of the pianist Roberto Tarenzi and the Unfold duo. Roberto Tarenzi sees music as a complete, futuristic experience that conserves its basis in jazz tradition. In the solo formula, Roberto goes deep into the essence and the structure of the songs he chose to revisit, the original versions of them or the Great American Songbook ones. He was a finalist at the prestigious “Thelonious Monk International piano Competition ”, and performed in front of a jury presided by Herbie Hancock.
“Unfold is the revelation of the human being as a complex and microcosmic creature, a view on our Planet from the remote deep space”.
With those words, the musical duo composed by Giovanni Giorgi and Jacopo Bertacco presents this kaleidoscopic project where drums and guitar work atypically as a little orchestra, “performing” images and atmospheres thanks to their acoustic and electronic sounds and samples. The two musicians wisely use their enormous experience in music field, that grew up with the collaboration of some big important international musicians, and push their instruments to the limit. In this way the public is accompanied in a long, extraordinary trip in which the true protagonist is the will to discover and explore it more. The band just recorded a sold out at the illustrious Milan Blue Note.
