After its great audience, press and critics success, “Nordic Film Fest” comes back to Italy from the 21st of April to the 24th for its fifth edition.
The Festival intent is to promote the Nordic Countries (Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden) cinematography and culture with the collaboration of the four Nordic Embassies in Italy and The Scandinavian Circle of Rome
the Fest’s main theme this year is “Nordic Love” in all its shades and in this occasion there will be showed new movies premières or unpublished movies in Italy, also thanks to partnership of Iceland’s Embassy of Paris, the respective Countries’ Film Institutes and the patronage of Comune di Roma.
In addition to the showing in original language with Italian subtitles and to the free entry to the event, the program also includes presentations and meetings with international hosts such as movie directors, actors, actresses, producers and so on.
The festival will also dedicate a special space to documentaries and short-movies created by the Scandinavian Circle.
An important accessory moment of the event will be the photographic exhibition named “Liv & Ingmar: colleagues, lovers, friends” and dedicated to the Norwegian actress Liv Ullmann and to the Swedish director Ingmar Bergman.
Like the other years, there will be a section dedicated to the Nordic screenwriters managed by Writers Guild Italia, with master-classes made by important Nordic Countries cinema’s spokesmen and, on the 22nd 0f April there will be the workshop “North Meets South” with Nordic and Italian producers, in collaboration with Anica and Writers Guild Italia.
