As the leaves fall off the trees, the musical gets back to the main attraction in Rome. After a period of relaunch, appreciated by 200 thousand spectators, Sistina theatre is offering, on October 1st ( out of the Season Ticket ), a preview of the beloved musical “Billy Elliot”. The ordinary Season Ticket is starting on October 20th. Serena Autieri is the main character of the classic “Vcanze Romane”, inspired by William Wyler’s movie, a fascinating musical representation of the flock Rome full of dreams and hope during the postwar. Directed by Luigi Russo, the musical comedy is the last proof of the peaceful partnership of Pietro Garinei and Armando Trovajoli. The third of the twelve dates organized for the 2015/2016 season, is on December 9th with Enrico Montesano , as tradition, as the protagonist of “Il Marchese del Grillo”. Massimo Pompeo Piparo , the director, has been inspired by the witty description of the papal Rome, shown at the cinema by Mario Monicelli, where Alberto Sordi was the protagonist. In January, the Sistina theatre will present the French comedy “Signori… Le paté de la maison” directed by Maurizio Micheli, and acted by Sabrina Ferilli, who has been absent from the great theatre for 10 years. In February, ice will be put on scene for “Lago dei Cigni”: the magic atmosphere of the classic ballet will be played by the Australian acting company “The Imperial Ice Stars”. The season will proceed with Christian de Sica, Massimo Ranieri, Obivion, Carlotta Proietti and Marco Morandi, Renzo Arbore and the very classic Ted Neel of “Jesus Christ Super Star”.
